This family of three brothers from Tamil Nadu has a lot to rejoice about. And the father thanks, god saying that the god has been kind to them. Why is this being said? Why is the family so overwhelmed and being in news for their celebration? The reason behind this is that this proud family is ruling the corporate world. The eldest brother N Srinivasan is presently the group finance director at Murugappa Group, N Chandrasekaran (the second brother) was appointed as the Chairman of Tata Sons and the youngest brother N Ganapathy Subramaniam became the new COO of TCS.
Following the ugly spat and the subsequent removal of former chairman Cyrus Mistry in October last year, Ratan Tata himself was working as the temporary chairman of the Tata Sons. N Chandrasekaran was on board as a Director since October 2015 was announced as the Chairman at the board meeting held in Mumbai. He will be officially taking over on February 21. His commitment is his standout quality. He puts in his time, energy and commitment to achieve anything that he decides to do. He is popularly known as Chandra and joined TCS in 1987 as a college student and hasn’t worked for any other organization. Chandra has been conferred the honorary degrees and has been awarded various awards for the business community. He has been an average performer in academics but has always put his heart and soul in whatever he does.
Chandra’s elder brother N Ganapathy Subramaniam has been associated with TCS for more than 34 years and is appointed as the chief operating officer. Presently, he serves as the President of TCS Financial Solutions. N Ganapathy has overwhelmed by the honor and thanked the TCS board. He is excited to work with the team of professionals and contribute to the future growth of TCS. Also, n Ganapathy is proud of his brother Chandra and feels that it is a great platform for him through visionary leadership.
Rajesh Gopinathan was the former financial officer earlier but now is elevated to chief executive officer. Also, Chandra said that NGS, for a long time, has been managing the financial services business and the customers have high confidence levels in his leadership. He has over 25 years of experience in legal, corporate finance and general management and has been the Director, Finance of Murugappa Group since 2007, January. NGS is a certified chartered accountant and is a member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
